Ryan has been working in architectural practice from a very early age, and graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in 2009. He has since worked for JMArchitects and Hoskins Architects in Glasgow delivering higher education, leisure and cultural projects along with healthcare buildings and housing. After four years at Adrian James Architects providing high-end residential and community projects in Oxford, he returned to Scotland to apply his detailing, problem-solving and model-making skills at MAFA.

Ryan is currently overseeing the refurbishment and extension of a former schoolhouse near Applecross, a new build house in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and a new home close to the World Heritage Site of Skarra Brae on the Orkney Islands
